BILLY CARTER was born and brought up in Northern Ireland. After establishing himself working with every major theater company in the UK, he became a resident of New York City in 2013. On Broadway he has appeared in A MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN with Kevin Spacey and Colm Meany and Off-Broadway in Samuel Beckett’s ALL THAT FALL with Michael Gambon and Eileen Atkins (E59 E59), THE WEIR, and PORT AUTHORITY (Irish Rep).

Last year he retuned to London to create the role of Gerrard Smalls in Harry Hill's musical comedy, I CAN’T SING at the world- renowned London Palladium. His other West End credits include BIRDSONG, dir Trevor Nunn, Malcolm in MACBETH, EASTWARD HO!, THE MALCONTENT, THE ISLAND PRINCESS, and THE ROMAN ACTOR with Anthony Sher (Royal Shakespeare Company). He has also been seen in London as Spurio, The Bastard in THE REVENGER’S TRAGEDY, Owen in TRANSLATIONS (Royal National Theatre), WIG OUT, and creating the role of Jay in BRUISES (Royal Court), Ross in MACBETH with Simon Russel Beale (Almeida), MY BOY JACK, OBSERVE THE SONS OF ULSTER (Hampstead), COMEDIANS (Lyric Hammersmith), Edward in SOMEONE WHO’LL WATCH OVER ME (Southwark; Best Actor Nomination Off West End Awards), THE SOLDIER’S SONG (Theater Royal, East 15), I’LL BE THE DEVIL (Tricycle/RSC). Elsewhere in the UK he played Casimir in Brian Friel’s ARISTOCRATS (Chichester), DEALER’S CHOICE (West Yorkshire Theater), SERGEANT MUSGRAVE’S DANCE (Oxford), KES! (York), ASSASSINS (Sheffield), and OVER THE BRIDGE (Belfast Waterfront).

His many television credits include: Thomas Jefferson in SONS OF LIBERTY (History), Thomas Andrews in Netflix/Lionsgate epic, TITANIC: BLOOD & STEEL starring opposite Derek Jacobi and Chris Noth, I FOUGHT THE LAW, THE GIST, HOLBY CITY, CASUALTY, COMMON AS MUCH, THE FITZ, SMALL ISLAND, PERFECT DAY, THE BAR (BBC), MURDER INVESTIGATION TEAM, PRIMEVAL, SOLDIER, SOLDIER (ITV) and FAIR CITY (RTE). On Film he can be seen in FESTIVAL (Pathe/Film Four), and UP ON THE ROOF (Granada Films).

ROBERT PETKOFF
(Richard Hannay)

In 2014 Robert appeared on Broadway as Hubert Humphrey in ALL THE WAY at the Neil Simon Theatre in New York, with Bryan Cranston, who starred as LBJ, in the script written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan. ALL THE WAY won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Play.

Robert starred as King Arthur in the TUTS production of CAMELOT in 2013.

Robert starred in ANYTHING GOES on Broadway as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, a love interest for brassy Reno Sweeney (played by Tony Award winner Sutton Foster), in the Roundabout Theatre production in 2012.

Robert performed as Buddy in FOLLIES with the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, directed by Gary Griffin, which closed on November 13, 2011.

He starred on Broadway in the musical revival of RAGTIME, as Tateh, directed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge.

He joined the national tour of SPAMALOT, directed by Mike Nichols, as Sir Robin, and then played the role on Broadway.

He was cast as Perchik in the Broadway revival of FIDDLER ON A ROOF , directed by David LeVeaux, starring Alfred Molina and Harvey Fierstein. His first Broadway appearance was in EPIC PROPORTIONS starring Kirsten Chenoweth, at the Helen Hayes Theater, directed by Jerry Zaks.

His work off-Broadway includes The New York Premiere of AVOW by Bill Davis, MRS. WARREN’S PROFESSION and MORE STATELY MANSIONS directed by Ivo Van Hove, the musical BLUE FLOWER at The Prospect Theatre Company and in 2009 he appeared in HAPPINESS at Lincoln Center, directed by Susan Stroman. Sir Peter Hall cast him in the starring role of Algernon in the national tour of THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST with Lynn Redgrave, which was produced with the Theatre Royal Bath .

Robert was also cast in Sir Peter Hall’s production of THE ROYAL FAMILY at the Theater Royal Haymarket in London’s West End where he appeared with Dame Judi Dench, Toby Stevens, and Emily Blunt.

In 2000, he was cast as one of four principal American actors in the world premiere of Sir Peter Hall’s production of TANTALUS by by John Barton. A co-production of The Denver Center Theater Company and The Royal Shakespeare Company, it opened in Denver and toured England, finishing at the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Barbican Theater.

He has worked in regional theaters including the Mark Taper Forum, the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, The Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington D.C., the Hartford Stage, the Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Denver Center for the Performing Arts and the Cincinnati Playhouse. He has appeared in the title roles of THE COMPLEAT FEMALE STAGE BEAUTY, as Romeo in ROMEO AND JULIET, with Calista Flockhart as Juliet, HAMLET, TROILUS AND CRESSIDA, and SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE.

Robert has an extensive film career as well, most recently appearing in the new Woody Allen film IRRATIONAL MAN, to be released in 2015.

BRITTANY VICARS
(Annabella/Pamela/ Margaret)

Brittany is thrilled to be making her New York stage debut in "The 39 Steps!" A graduate of the Juilliard School of Drama's Group 43 in 2014, she received the prestigious John Houseman Award for Excellence in Classical Theatre and the Gluck Community Fellowship.

While at Juilliard, she appeared as Haley in BURIED CHILD, Electra in IPHEGENIA AND OTHER DAUGHTERS, and was a collaborator in one of the first interdisciplinary interdivisional student initiated projects at Juilliard, A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, directed by fellow classmate, Alexander Ian Sharp. Other credits include Gertrude in HAMLET, Liubov Ranyevskaya in THE CHERRY ORCHARD, Camilo in THE WINTER'S TALE, Sammy in IN ARABIA WE'D ALL BE KINGS and Salome in OSCAR WILDE'S SALOME.

She is also a published poet and one of the first Video Performance Artists to work with the Center of Innovation in the Arts in the 14th season of Beyond the Machine.
